Search and list endpoints return one page at a time, with a link to the next.
Follow pagination.next until it is null:
curl "https://api.mangabaka.org/v2/series/search?q=dragon&limit=50&page=1"
The response, without data:
{
"status": 200,
"pagination": {
"count": 1896,
"next": "https://api.mangabaka.org/v2/series/search?limit=50&page=2&q=dragon",
"previous": null,
"page": 1,
"limit": 50
}
}
Use the next URL as-is rather than building page numbers yourself.
Result window#↑
Search is capped by a result window: page * limit may not exceed it, and a deeper page returns 400. The page and limit parameters in the search reference state the current window.
To get past it, narrow the query with filters instead of paging deeper. For the whole catalog, use the data dumps.
Cursor pagination#↑
The library changes feeds page with a cursor instead: keep calling with pagination.cursor while pagination.more is true. See Sync a user's library.
Match returns a short ranked list with no pagination at all.
Next#↑
- Rate limits and caching: every page is a request.
