Find a series by name, fetch its full record, and list where to read it. No account or key needed.
1. Search#↑
curl "https://api.mangabaka.org/v2/series/search?q=frieren&limit=5"
The response has three parts:
status: the HTTP status, repeated in the body.pagination: where you are, and a ready-madenextURL for the following page.data: the matching series.
Find Frieren: Beyond Journey's End in data and note its id: 1995.
Search returns every content rating, adult titles included, unless you filter with content_rating.
2. Fetch the series#↑
curl "https://api.mangabaka.org/v2/series/1995?schema=full"
data now holds the full record: titles, authors, publishers, rating, tags and links. Without schema=full you get a lighter record with no tags, links or relationships.
titlescan hold several titles per language. For English, pick theentitle withis_primary: true.- Check
state. When it ismerged, the series was folded into another one andmerged_withholds the id to use instead. See follow merged and deleted series.
See Get series by id for every field. Some /v2 endpoints are still beta: see versioning and stability.
3. Find where to read it#↑
Each item in links names the site (name_display), its language and its type. A webplatform link is somewhere to read it online, retailer is somewhere to buy it, and publisher is the publisher's own page.
