Use a personal access token

Recipes for specific tasks against the API.

Call the account endpoints as yourself with a personal access token (PAT).

Those are the endpoints under /my. Apps acting on behalf of other users use OAuth instead.

Create a token#↑

Sign in, open API and apps, and under Personal access tokens press New token. Copy it right away: it starts with mb- and can't be shown again.

Keep the token server-side. Anyone holding it acts as you.

List your library#↑

Send the token in the x-api-key header:

curl -H "x-api-key: mb-your-token" \
  "https://api.mangabaka.org/v2/my/library?state=reading&limit=5"

Each item in data has your entry, the lists it is on, and the series. Trimmed:

{
	"status": 200,
	"pagination": {
		"count": 1,
		"next": null,
		"previous": null,
		"page": 1,
		"limit": 5
	},
	"data": [
		{
			"entry": {
				"series_id": 1,
				"state": "reading",
				"rating": 85,
				"progress_chapter": 12,
				"start_date": "2026-10-27"
			},
			"lists": [
				{
					"id": 10059,
					"name": "Favourites",
					"is_private": false
				}
			],
			"series": {
				"id": 1,
				"canonical_url": "https://mangabaka.org/manhwa/1/DICE"
			}
		}
	]
}

state filters by reading state. Leave it out to get the whole library, and follow pagination.next for more pages. List library entries has every filter.

The header is named x-api-key, but this token is the only key there is. Don't send it as Authorization: Bearer; that header is for OAuth tokens. A missing, mistyped or revoked token returns 401.
