Wish Upon a Star

Cheong-Hwa, who grew up with a curiosity about the stars, runs away from home and forms a mentor-student relationship with Hae-Seok, an astronomer. After spending a long time with Hae-Seok, Cheong-Hwa develops feelings for him and confesses, but Hae-Seok coldly brushes off her feelings.

“If only he’d give me an answer…”

That night, a heartbroken Cheong-Hwa climbs onto the roof with the neighborhood dog to gaze at the stars and vents her frustration. “I wish I were a dog so he would like me,” she says. At that moment, as if the stars had heard her, they twinkle!
