manga

A Trainer named Soul attempts to capture a wild Sentret, but due to his lack of knowledge, he fails to capture it and another Trainer shows up to help him. After weakening the Pokémon, Soul manages to catch it and then attempts to catch a wild Bellsprout. Soul's Cyndaquil accidentally defeats the Bellsprout, however, and Soul is unable to capture it. The Trainer helps him again and Soul then manages to catch a wild Growlithe. As Soul is about to leave to a new area to find more Pokémon, the Trainer stops him and teaches him that he can fish for Pokémon in bodies of water, that different Pokémon appear at different times of the day, and that some Pokémon can be found by using Headbutt on trees. The two are then interrupted by a wild Steelix and Soul tries to fight it with Cyndaquil. The Steelix tackles Cyndaquil and Soul realizes that the Steelix is too strong. The Trainer hands him a Heavy Ball and tells him to use it. Soul has Cyndaquil use Flamethrower, and whilst the Steelix is engulfed in the flames, he throws the Heavy Ball and catches it. The Trainer explains that the Heavy Ball was made from Apricorns and the Poké Ball smith Kurt makes them as well as seven other types with its own feature. Soul shouts that he is aiming towards completing the Pokédex. (Source: Bulbapedia)

My childhood friend, Magary, was chosen to be the saint. From here on out, she'll have to maintain a smile at all times while at the royal capital and take lessons in etiquette and dance. She'll be living in an excruciatingly stifling world. Having been together since birth, there was naturally one thought in my mind. While feeling a little bit of loneliness… I pushed my childhood friend (who was trying to escape with all her might with her arms still bound) towards the knight that came to pick her up. "Alistaaaaaaaaaaaaar!!" I feel as if there was some deep resentment in her voice, but that was probably just my imagination. As her last act of futile resistance, she had me see her off to the royal capital… but, that ended without any problems. "Now that that's over with, I'll be heading home. Good luck ^^" I turned my back towards my childhood friend who looked me with deep resentment in her eyes. While I was making my way home… I had to turn around as I was chased by goblins. "Noooooooo!! Someone, helpppppppp!!" This is the misunderstood heroic tale of a scumbag hero and scumbag saint mutually getting in each other's way as they attempt to pursue happiness.

Kuro and Marco
Kuro to Maruko· クロとマルコ
manga

From [Brolen](https://www.mangaupdates.com/groups.html?id=2279): Kuro & Marco is the first non-guro work from noteworthy guro mangaka Horihone Saizou. The titular story has four chapters. It’s an eccentric one about space kids who live in some kind of bizarre alternate universe solar system, where comets are giant dogs, robot people live in a certain part of the the asteroid belt, animal people live on other planets, and the earth is still ruled by dinosaurs. The other stories in the book are various thematically unrelated shorts, but it’s worth noting that he still managed to sneak a story in about tearing organs out of live prisoners, even though it lacked explicit depictions of violence (apparently, an actual Japanese practice in the old days).
