Ao Shiroharu is a high school girl who has had a gift for the supernatural for as long as she can remember. One day, she is approached by the class loner Uta Natsume. Uta has always secretly wanted to become a ghost-storyteller, and yet she is painfully aware of how bad she is at it. When Uta learns of Ao’s gift, she asks her with a beaming smile, “Will you help me collect material for my ghost stories?” Unenthused, Ao is nevertheless moved by Uta’s passion and agrees to go to a midnight shrine “just this once”… only to get dragged deeper than she bargained for!
