There is a website for suicides appearing on the internet only at midnight and when certain specific keywords are searched. Although it is supposed to be only a mere urban myth, girls who have performed the ritual suddenly disappeared. High school paranormalist Naho Saenoki launches an investigation to shed light on this gruesome incident while the amount of victims keeps increasing. And then, it happened to Naho herself...

After the events of Corpse Party: Blood Covered, the survivors try coming to terms with the traumatic incident that took place in Tenjin Elementary School. Though the curse was broken, they lost many friends, who have subsequently been forgotten by everyone else; anyone who perished in the hellish dimension has been erased from existence. However, not everyone was forgotten, and it is this small ray of hope that leads two of the survivors to investigate the culprit's home and discover the origin of the curse. Here, they find the infamous Book of Shadows, an evil tome containing many dark curses, and surprisingly, even a spell for resurrecting the dead. With no other option, they perform the ritual, but end up with far more than they bargained for. Corpse Party: Book of Shadows follows these two survivors as they tempt fate once again, while also providing a look at the intertwining stories of other characters from the series. With their school shutting down for good, the students of a small town were heading for different directions in life. For Minase Tamaki, who was staying in town to find a job, it might be the last time she sees her crush Shindo Yuuma, who is moving to the city to attend a new school. She asks him to do a little prayer that is supposed to help people cross paths again even if they become separated. But her classmate, Yuzuki Erina, overhears their conversation and, out of jealousy, decides to ruin her plans by inviting their entire class on what was supposed to be an intimate spell. As soon as the charm goes off, the ground splits in half, swallowing the entire class and, when they wake up, they find themselves in an old school campus. Unable to find a way out, they wander the corridors, trying to figure out where they are. But it seems that the building isn’t as abandoned as they thought it was and, in fact, something evil is lurking in the shadows.

Based on the live-action film adaptation of the video game series of the same name. Corpse Party revolves around a group of students from Kisaragi Academy and their teacher. To cheer up one of their classmates who's going to transfer schools, they perform a charm called Sachiko Ever After so they can remain friends forever.
