The manga will tell the story of one of the "masterpieces of 19th century German literature," and will center on "the short-lived love of a young soul." "Storm" is credited with the original work. The description and preview image of an old man suggest that the manga could be adapting Theodor Storm's The Lake of the Bees novella, in which an old man looks back on his life and young love. Ichiko Izumiya is a young student of English who would like to walk in the footsteps of her father as a translator of trendy American novels. She finally decides to confess to him that she is in love with Eriko, a law student. Ichiko will attempt to live out her homosexuality in peace and will be brought to wonder about the nature of her relationship: is she really homosexual or simply in love with a sensitive being who happens to be of the same sex?

Rutsu, a novelist, finds herself caught between her boyfriend and another woman.

After a heated argument with her mother, Keito runs away from home without knowing where to go. When she helps an old woman to carry her bags home, the woman offers to put her up in one of her rooms. Keito accepts and starts to pick up the pieces of her life. When she's not drawing her own comic, which features a black jazz singer named Angie, the young woman works at a record shop. That's where she meets and falls in love with Niki, an attractive trumpeter in a funk band. They sleep with each other. Unfortunately for Keito, Niki then explains that she's not interested in a serious relationship, but Keito is not willing to give up that easily...

This short serialization presents stories of young girls across the world, who are told what to do, or not to do, "because they are a woman", either because of the religion or the culture of the place they live in. 1. **Soccerball Kettobasu Hi** (サッカーボールを蹴飛ばす日) Set in Saudia Arabia and follows the girl Salma as she learns about a part of her family that had been hidden from her. 2. **Shikamettsura to Megane** (しかめっつらとメガネ) Set in Morocco and follows the girl Habiba as her family for a month long period hosts a strict and conservative old friend of her grandmother's who won't stop chastising Habiba and her older sister for not being pretty enough or too interested in scholary pursuits. But is there a reason behind this old woman's unkind demeanour? 3. **Ookina Ie no Ojou-san** (大きな家のお嬢さん) Set in India and follows the girl Kanti as she suddenly goes from poverty to wealth when her mother remarries. She can now go to school and gets a tutor, the 17 year old Asha. However it becomes clear that the help Kanti's stepfather has been offering Asha may not be as charitable as it seems. 4. **Obaachan to Mama to Papa** (おばあちゃんとママとパパ) Set in Japan and follows the girl Marie. Marie and her divorced mother live together with a conservative grandmother who has been pushing old fashioned ideals of what an ideal girl and woman is onto Marie. 5. **Hajimari no Hi** (はじまりの日) Set in Afghanistan in 2002 after the Taliban first lost power. We follow two girls as they receive school supplies for the first time.
