Kotori is, in a way, very experienced in love. That is, she's experienced at getting dumped. She's confessed to 24 guys, and is convinced that the 25th is the charm. The guy, Ogasawara, says he'll give her his answer at a summer festival, so Kotori dresses up in a yukata and goes to meet him feeling very happy-until he shows up with another woman and says it's his girlfriend. Dumbfounded, Kotori walks in a daze around the festival until she catches her sleeve on a branch. Pulling at it, her yukata starts to come undone and she's embraced from behind. She screams 'Pervert!' but the guy, Yamato-kun, just wanted to give her his shirt to wear over her yukata(I don't really know why he hugged her though...) Kotori notices that his bangs are blue. He warns her to go home before she's eaten by an old man, and comments that she's in a pretty good mood. The next day Kotori accidentally takes an extra English textbook from her desk, hers and the one used for night school. She returns to give it back, and finds the same guy sitting at her desk. During the day he works as a painter, and he's going to paint Kotori's school the following week. He mentions again that she's pretty cheerful, and Kotori realizes that he saw her getting dumped and is totally embarrassed. Yamato wonders if normally girls don't cry after being dumped, and later, Kotori thinks about it. She's never cried over a guy...
