He cares more about swimming and 'performing' at the matches in an elegant and beautiful way, which does not always cause him to be a helpful member of the team. While swimming in a lake at an amusement park, he meets an extremely muscular old man who has drastically more elegant and powerful swimming skills. Spurred on by this discovery, Terasawa is even more dedicated to becoming an elegant swimmer, even if it does annoy his teammates. While he's getting in some solo practice, he has an exchange with a girl from the swim team, named Amano, that changes his goals. She tells him of the existence of 'synchronized swimming.' This sport sounds exactly like what Terasawa has always wanted, and he's determined to start a club immediately! However, he still has a responsibility to the water polo club.
