Set in New York in the late 1980s, Partners follows the lives of six close friends who also happen to be leathermen. The manga depicts their relationships -- both sexual and emotional -- with unabashed honesty. While the story practically explodes off the page with a continuous, unremitting and glorious parade of smut, it isn't "meaningless sex" -- these are committed couples in full-time relationships, where pleasure and pain are natural expressions of affection for one another. (You guessed it; that's where the manga's name comes from. They're "partners.") The six friends that star in this manga are split up into three pairs. The main pair consists of Marlon and Doug, around whose relationship the manga revolves. Marlon, a high-flying executive, plays sub and devoted masochist to the beautifully dominant Doug. Doug is, interestingly enough, a janitor at the very company Marlon directs; during the average workday, they barely even make eye-contact. The contrast between their private and public lives is as stark as it is lovely. The other couples also feature in major roles, and what we end up with is an intimate and moving glimpse at an otherwise unconventional lifestyle. (Source: The Pink Panzer)
The story is adapted from the light novel of the same name. Sayama Takahiro, a carefree high school student, was transported to a fantasy world identical to the one in a VR Game. His go-with-the-flow attitude eventually overpowered his desire to return home, and now he runs Free Life, a small business dedicated to fulfilling the requests of its customers. Assisted by the hard-working Yumiel, what kinds of jobs will Sayama end up doing? If only someone would hire him to sleep till noon. *Note: Includes 2 extra chapters.*
Hua Tuo, the highest-ranking Chinese doctor of the late Han Dynasty, is possessed by a modern-day surgical intern! “It’s so vain.” Hua-bu, who was known as a divine doctor, dies in prison from a curse that wasn’t a curse of Cao Cao… *“Is he still alive?”* When he opens his eyes in excruciating pain, what he sees are… unfamiliar objects and letters he’s never seen before! *“W-what’s going on? Am I, am I possessed by the body of a doctor from another world?”* Memories of the body’s owner, Lee Min-Ho, flood into Hua Tuo’s mind. No matter how different the world is, how on earth does a world like this exist…! *“Who summoned me into the body of this young man?”* (Source: Kakaopage, translated)
Can you give me a happy ending? Komatsu Risa is in love with her childhood friend, Sano Chihiro. Heartbroken about her first love, she confides in her seemingly indifferent homeroom teacher, Natsuo.
The start of a happy life together with a high school girl who has fallen into the bottom of despair. One day, Yuusuke Yuuki, who spent his high school life only in studying and working part-time in order to maintain his scholarship, found himself strongly wishing for a girlfriend. On the way home, feeling lonely from such thought, he casually looked up into the sky and saw a girl who was about to throw herself off the rooftop of an abandoned building. "Why the hell are you doing something like this!" "Because I...don't have any...reason to live..." "Wait. It'd be a shame for a beauty to die" "....?" "Rather than dying, be my girlfriend" "Eeh?" Thus, a new love story and daily life with a mysterious girl, Kotori Hatsushiro, which all started from a strange encounter, begins. (Source: Kadokawa, translated)
