God's Vessel
Lee Cha-mu, a shaman who rejects his family's forced destiny of serving the gods and vows to shatter his own vessel before he dies. Then, Yu-yeong appears—an actress who constantly has her body hijacked by unidentified entities, landing her in one unfair scandal after another.
"I told you I don't need your help."
Though Cha-mu coldly turned her away at first, the moment he sees the bruise on Yu-yeong's cheek, he changes his mind.
"I don't know how far I can help you. But at the very least, I won't let those useless things take over your body."
Guarding Yu-yeong's side while posing as her road manager, Cha-mu repeatedly tells himself this isn't for her sake, but simply because he can't stand watching low-level ghosts target her body to commit sins.
Thus begins their cohabitation. Looking down at Yu-yeong as she sleepily calls out another man's name, Cha-mu feels a strange, unfamiliar emotion stir in his usually dry eyes. It was jealousy.
Denying it to himself is useless. In front of those tormenting Yu-yeong, Cha-mu has already crossed the line.
"Don't smile. It makes me want to cast a curse on those things."
While his words deny it, his actions show a man determined to monopolize every single moment of Yu-yeong's life.
"That's me, but also not me. When you gaze intently at the 'not-me' version of me, it makes me angry." "Are you jealous?" "Yeah, jealous."
The moment they acknowledge each other's jealousy, the boundaries they tried so hard to protect begin to crumble. A man who has never wanted or owned anything in his life now desires something for the very first time since his birth. The vessel of the gods, who never believed in love, has begun walking down the exact same path as his ancestors who fell in love and received the gods.
"Do you like me?" "This is a confession. I like you. I like you, Yu-yeong."
The moment a man who swore to remain an empty vessel decides that he will never let go of what is finally in his hands—can he escape his fate?
