Approximal Guide

War hero and guide Kang Hajung has seen better days.
Once celebrated, now worn down by injuries, all he wants is one thing: retirement.

But on the eve of his discharge, he’s assigned to guide a new recruit—Kim Muhyeok, a dangerously powerful esper on the verge of death.

He saves him.
That was the mistake.

Before he knows it, Hajung is bound as Muhyuk’s pair Guide, his long-awaited retirement slipping further out of reach. Then, during a mission, Hajung is killed.

…Only to wake up five years later, in someone else’s body.

His original body is already buried.
His future is a mess.
And Muhyeok is still out there.

With nothing left tying him down, Hajung makes a decision:
This time, he’s getting out—before anyone finds out who he really is.

A chaotic survival story of one exhausted guide trying to retire… and the esper who won’t let him go.
