"Fascinating" "Overwhelming" "Addictive" "Captivating" Those are the reactions when people see her paintings. As a high school student and aspiring artist, I desperately wanted to paint like her. Yuri Kashiwazaki, the girl who is regarded a "genius," no matter what she draws.

"I just came by to see you. I only paint when I want to."

She is my childhood friend, at once the closest and furthest person to me. One day, she just stopped painting, but I remained in her shadow and continued to wield my paintbrush.

"I'm going to keep painting. I won't give up. I won't use talent as an excuse."

Until the day when Yuri starts painting again. Until the day she will admire my paintings.

This is the story of an ordinary boy who devotes his youth to art, to challenge a "genius."
