Aku naki Yoku no Sacrament

"By any chance, are you psychic, miss?" I, Kensaku Serusumi, am a part-time worker and unmotivated slacker. Not exactly something to be proud of. When I first started this job, I thought "An ability trading business seems too shady, I should quit soon." But people involved with psychic abilities tend to be pretty eccentric, which I find a bit entertaining.

Psychic abilities - referred to as supernatural powers or secret rites - are strange powers that manifest from people's desires and eventually disappear, like temporary miracles. They're not exactly rare, but not something everyone can freely obtain either. That's why those without abilities all say - "I want one too." If there are people who want them, then a business opportunity arises. The ability trading business was established to connect those who want to sell abilities and those who want to buy them.

The Hishoku Shokai I work for is one such ability trading company. The store is an old building in a corner of Saitama. Just the manager and I, a part-timer, work there. Still small in scale, but we work day and night dreaming of future success.

"Well then... Shall I go search for an ability holder for our cute but useless manager?"
