Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Serialized in Ilgan Sports from 1978 to 1980, Ko Woo Young’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms is widely regarded as one of the most insightful modern reinterpretations of the classic epic. He subverted traditional portrayals—depicting Liu Bei as foolish and Zhuge Liang as a beautiful yet power-hungry strategist—infusing the narrative with sharp satire and humor.
