"You, the chosen one!! Join us in protecting the planet!!"

...This is the tearful tale of a certain behind-the-scenes girl desperately trying to fulfill her duties in the shadow of glittering girls...

One day, anime-loving middle schooler Kayo encounters a cute fairy and a magical girl squad, and is scouted to shoulder the destiny of protecting the world.

"Me, a magical girl...!?" Her joy was short-lived—Kayo wasn't chosen as a magical girl, but as their caretaker: the 'Manager'!

While the magical girls dash about in flashy costumes defeating monsters, Kayo runs around supporting them in her school-issued sweatsuit.
