After fighting with his mother, teenager Tatsuhiko Matsuihara decides he wants to change his "straight and narrow" image to spite her. His rebellious intentions lead him to the hair salon of a man named Jin, where he asks to be given the same hairstyle as the legendary rock star Kurt Cobain - and is literally laughed out of the shop. When several more establishments refuse to cater to his whims, he decides to go buy the dye himself and runs into Jin at a nearby store. Jin offers to dye his hair for free as an apology for laughing at him, and the two get to know each other better. Jin grows sympathetic to the juvenile's plight and agrees to collaborate with Tatsuhiko's youthful rebellion, and the boy soon finds himself falling for Jin. But can he get a man ten years his senior to take his feelings seriously?
