A British girl arrives in Niigata, a port town during the Meiji era. Her name is Will.

She came because of her father's work, but she can't stand the smell of raw fish and hasn't been able to eat properly since arriving in Japan...
As her frustration and anxiety grow in this unfamiliar land, she meets a blunt Japanese young man named Ryūsaku. He is a traditional Japanese cuisine chef...!
Fed up with Will's constant complaints about fish, Ryūsaku decides to make her a Japanese dish that will leave her speechless...!?
