After being hired by the Tanizaki family, Seiichi Yoshii is initially dismayed by his seemingly troublesome new employers: an extremely overprotective mother and her son, Minoru, who is covered in scars. After getting to know Minoru, who is unable to feel pain, Yoshii begins to see the young man's kindness and comes to care for him. Can this boy, covered in scars, heal the heart of a man whose scars are hidden deep within his soul?
