-"They're just a childhood friend that lives next door." But it would seem that it was only me who thought that. Shuuji and Azu are childhood friends and neighbors who live like 3 seconds away. Shuuji likes Azu. Azu likes another guy.
The monologue is written mostly from Shuuji's perspective. However, Azu's perspective is sometimes shown too.
Azu has a broken heart after an unsuccessful confession of love. Nonetheless, Shuuji confessed his feelings for and approached her.
