"Itasha" doesn't refer to Italian cars; it's written as "痛車" (itasha), meaning "painful car." These cars, adorned with huge images of moe characters from manga, anime, and video games, are, as the name suggests, painful to look at! This manga, which began with Masayuki Yamamoto's own Fiat Panda being turned into an itasha, sees him encountering all sorts of itasha as he conducts his research! Alfa Romeos, Lamborghinis, Ferraris—they're all "ouch..." in this adventurous itasha manga!
