Dan Matthews knows that, in marrying ex-waitress Corinne Steddon, his uncle was fleeced by a first-rate con artist. Now the scheming widow owns controlling interest in Dan's company, and he'll do whatever's necessary to get it back--even find a husband for her! But the coolly beautiful, subtly sexy Corinne he meets is shockingly different from the woman he expects...

Despite years of celibacy, Corinne is thrown off balance by her erotic feelings for Dan. Beneath his hard surface, she senses a capacity for tenderness that makes him perfect for fulfilling her single consuming desire--one that requires a far more intimate relationship with Dan than he could possibly suspect!
