Tanaka Yuya, a first-year high school student, has always struggled to get along with his older brother, Hayato, who constantly surrounds himself with friends and girlfriends that Yuya can’t relate to. Whenever they come over, Yuya retreats to his room, avoiding interaction. One day, while overhearing a conversation through the thin walls, Yuya is struck by “Kakimoto-san’s” view on love, who says, “I don’t need a girlfriend, I just want to be with someone I truly like.”
