Red: Saishūshō Asama Sansō no 10-kakan

The Red League, an armed group aiming for revolution, was being hunted in a police investigation, and on February 19, 1972, the last five remaining members broke into Asama Sanso and holed up, taking the caretaker hostage. The "Asama Sanso Incident" shook Japan in the Showa period, as NHK and other broadcasters combined to record the highest ever viewership rating of 89.7% for the live broadcast of the siege. Naoki Yamamoto's meticulously detailed documentary dissects this incident of the United Red Army as its theme. This book completes the "Red" series!
