A busy few days. Your stats page got a big upgrade, the forum gained a lot of new features, and comments, the library and a few rough edges around the site got attention too. Thanks to everyone who reported bugs and ideas on the board, most of the changes below came straight from your posts. ## Stats - **(Almost) every breakdown is now clickable.** Click a chart slice, bar or legend entry to open your library filtered to exactly those series. This works for reading state, priority, media type, content rating, score, publication status, publication year, top authors and artists, and top publishers. On someone else's profile, it opens their library - tags are currently omitted because it need some larger rework (POST!35) - **Highlight cards link too:** plan to read, not started yet, has an anime and licensed. (POST!35) - **Score comparison:** click a dot to go straight to that series. (POST!58) - **Open in a new tab** with Cmd/Ctrl+click, like any other link. The cursor changes when something is clickable. - **Touch friendly:** on phones and tablets, the first tap shows the details with an **Open** link, and tapping the same item again opens it. - **Activity heatmap** fills the card at any screen size, shows the most recent weeks that fit on phones, and colours your days so one very busy day doesn't wash out the rest. - **Publication year** labels no longer squash together on small screens. - Tooltips no longer show a stray line under the title. - Zero Progress no longer counts series you're only considering. (POST!35) ## Forum **Writing posts** - **Video clips:** attach short MP4s to posts, up to 2 minutes and 15 MB. (POST!37) - **Emoji** are supported in posts and comments. (POST!8) - **Collapsible sections:** use `<details>` blocks for spoilers or long logs. - **Quoting:** select part of a post or comment and quote just that bit. - **Linking posts:** type `POST!` to search post titles and link one, or add `#` after a post number to link one of its comments. Every comment has a copy button for its link. (POST!46) (POST!48) - **Visible post numbers:** posts now show their number, so they're easy to link. (POST!49) - **Images** only embed from a list of trusted image hosts. - Clicking **Reply** opens the comment box and scrolls to it. (POST!19) **Following and notifications** - Follow a post in one click, or pick your follow level when you create a post. (POST!11) (POST!43) - Commenting on a post can follow it for you, and the setting is remembered. (POST!20) - Filter a board to show posts you *don't* follow. (POST!14) - The "Similar posts" list offers the same follow action, and only says "Following" when you actually follow the post. **Browsing** - The forum front page is now organised by space, then section, then post, with open posts listed under each section. - Boards show open posts by default. - Duplicate posts show which post they duplicate. (POST!57) - Post chips show the status or "Closed" instead of striking through the title. (POST!56) - Forum activity is posted to our [Discord](https://discord.com/channels/1345354242163998764/1551560929852915752). **Moderation** - Anyone allowed to change a post's status can do it straight from the comment box, in the same step as the comment. - Locking a post now also freezes editing and voting, not only commenting. - Hiding a post is now staff-only, and a hidden post is gone for everyone, including its author. (POST!31) - Staff can take down any attachment. - Team members get higher posting limits. (POST!50) **Fixes** - A post could briefly show the previous post's votes. (POST!36) - Series covers in posts went missing when every content rating was allowed. - Hidden posts were counted in the public section totals. - A spoiler inside a collapsible section could leak into the post preview. - A failed submit now shows in the editor instead of a message that disappears. - Tapping an author's avatar opens the picture instead of their profile. (POST!44) - Linked images and GIFs no longer stretch an invisible clickable area across the full width. (POST!40) ## Comments - Comment threads are now a proper tree that you can navigate. - The sort control sits on the Comments heading, and your chosen sort is remembered across threads. ## Library and profiles - Sorting by available chapters now puts unread entries in the right order and breaks ties on total chapters. (POST!13) - The series count on public profiles is fixed. - "My profile" in the sidebar opens your profile and highlights Public Profile. (POST!51) ## Around the site - Pull-to-refresh now only runs in the iOS home-screen app. Browsers and Android already have their own, and the two fired together. (POST!7) - Date fields show every part of the date in your language's own digits, for example Nepali and Arabic. (POST!34) - Popovers, dropdowns, the notification menu and sidebar menus no longer flicker, flash when closing, or freeze the page behind them. (POST!15) (POST!41)
