Space Meat Odyssey

“Cultured Meat-kun” centers on a writer living all alone on a planet where all humans have vanished. Kinoshita, the writer, pens his work even though there is no one left to read it. Then, “Oniku,” a piece of cultured meat, appears before him. Oniku, was cultivated with the sole purpose of being eaten by someone, yet finds himself stranded in a world where no one remains. Oniku longs to be eaten by the writer Kinoshita, but Kinoshita “can only eat sardines and komatsuna,” and Oniku, lacks the eyes to read Kinoshita’s writing. - Taichi Sunayama
