Jillian was in a fix. A clause in her uncle’s will stipulates that unless she marries the town’s police chief, Theodore Graves, she will forfeit her ranch, which is her home. Jillian has known Theodore since she was little. She likes him. But the idea of marrying him, when they haven’t even dated, is too much.
