The story begins at the Battle of A Baoa Qu, in the last days of the One Year War. As the Federation and Zeon forces clash in the final climactic battle, two men struggle to survive. Eric Blanke, a Zeon mobile suit pilot, watches helplessly as his friends and comrades perish, one after another. Courand Hughes, a squad captain, is helpless to protect his friends and subordinates as they die, one by one. Both men are left terribly scarred by the battle. Two years later: Universal Century 0081. Eric Blanke continues to fight the Federation, alone, and against all odds. He seeks to punish the Earth Federation for its many evils. Against him stands Courand Hughes, captain of a special-operations mobile suit unit created specifically to combat renegade Zeon forces like Eric. Courand devotes himself wholly to battle, seeking his own death so he might rejoin his many friends who fell at A Baoa Qu.

Ensign Reccoa Londe has provided the AEUG with information regarding possible mobile suit development at the civilian colonies of Green Noa. Lieutenant Quattro (Char Aznable) with his wingmen Lieutenant JGs Apolly (Andy) and Roberto (Ricardo) head to the colony to investigate. On Green Noa 1, Kamille Bidan is rushing to the spaceport where the Temptation, a ship a former One Year War ace is on, is docking. He’s hoping to get an autograph from the famed Captain Bright Noa. As Bright explains that he’s on duty, Jerid and company interrupt the two. Jerid smacktalks Bright for receiving a two rank demotion upon refusing to join the Titans and grabs Kamille’s photo saying he should sign it as an elite member of the Federation. The two get into a scuffle and Kamille is hauled off for questioning. Matosh questions Kamille about being an AEUG insider but just then he’s freed after his story checks out. Just as the handcuffs come off, the Gundam MK-II crashes into the building…

Four years after the end of the One Year War between the Principality of Zeon and the Earth Federation, Cain Ragnard, a war orphan whose parents were killed by Zeon's attack on Side 7, has joined the Earth Federation Forces. For the vengeance of his parents, Cain joins the special force Shadows to hunt down the remnants of the Zeon menace. One day his team is sent to Earth to eliminate Zeon remnants in the Middle East, however, an act of betrayal changes everything...

The manga adaptation of Gundam 0083. Universal Century 0079: The Jungles of Southeast Asia. During the One Year War, the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon are fighting a brutal guerrilla war for control of the area and its resources. Zeon’s best hope for victory in the region rests with an experimental mobile armor, the Apsalus and its pilot, Aina Sahalin. Meanwhile the Earth Federal Army, which has been fighting the Zeon in the region, receive reinforcements in the form of Ensign Shiro Amada, newly named commander of the 08th MS Team. During the One Year War between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon, an aggressor team known as the Nemesis Team is established in the Earth Federation Army.

This story takes place during December 0079 U.C. where two brothers are forced to traverse the North American territory as the rear guard of the retreating Principality of Zeon forces, using MSM-04 Acguy amphibious mobile suits, after the Principality fails to capture the Earth Federation's headquarters at Jaburo. However it doesn't take long before these two brothers are the only ones left alive and are faced with the prospect of traveling over two thousand miles, without supplies and backup. In December of UC0073 Investigator Leopold Fieseler of the Zeon National Public Safety Division is investigating a series of terrorist bombings that have been occuring on Side 3 when without warning he is contacted by an old childhood friend, Elise Ann Finnegan, who is now working with the Prefectural Office. When they meet, she hands him a disk containing a list of Zeon Officials marked for assassination; Officials who have been dying during the very bombings he is now investigating. At first he thinks that its data that has been leaked to the press, but as he scrolls down he discovers something further. This list does not stop with those who are already dead, and at the bottom of the list is the name "Commander Gihren Zabi" - the Leader of the Principality of Zeon. (Source: Ephidel)

Universal Century 0079. This is the story of a child that was drafted during the One Year War.
