In the year 1935, German Nazi agents infiltrate Mexico in order to locate and capture Kukulcan, an ancient Aztec god believed to be sleeping in the country encased by Jade.
At the beginning of the manga Phantom Bullet, a woman in black with a hat kills a man to recover a book. Fifteen years later, at the village of Wadowice (Poland, 1944), a young girl sees her mother killed just in front of her by the Nazi. After the villagers buried her mom, the priest of Wadowice (who was present when the woman in black recovered the book 15 years ago) tells her a strange story: the dangerous book seen at the beginning of the manga had been brought to him by two unknown individuals and is now hidden in the chapel. The priest is in fear and doesn't want to use it but the girl runs to the cache, find it, read it and recite some incantations. A mysterious man appears and after she asks him to help her take revenge of the responsibles of the death of her mother, he makes a dragon appear just behind her. Then, the girl goes find the Nazi unit who killed her mother but as they are all cutted to pieces by the monster, the strange woman in black appears...
An unknown girl has moved into a supposedly "haunted house" in a seemingly normal neighborhood.
Rock (Okajima Rokuro) was just a normal Japanese businessman, but through a series of unlikely events, he found himself part of the "Lagoon Company," a group of transporters who do a little pirating on the side. Together with Dutch, Revy, and Benny, he sails the seas of Asia aboard the modified torpedo boat "Black Lagoon." Their base, the lawless city of Roanapur, is just barely balanced on the brink of outright war, controlled and occupied by criminal organizations from across the globe. Standing above the rest are Balalaika of Russia and Chang of Hong Kong. Our story finds Roanapur just a little while before Rock, with Revy in tow, is due to head back to his old home of Japan. It is a tale about soldiers who once fought united under a cause in a land of sandy winds, the strictly personal reunion of a captain and her one-time subordinate...
The manga will focus on Sawyer, a freelance cleaner in Roanapur's underworld who disposes of bodies using her chainsaw. (Source: Anime News Network)
