A retelling of Kyokutei Bakin's epic 19th century novel Nansou Satomi Hakkenden, or *Chronicles of Eight Dogs*. Unlike her earlier straightforward adaptation, this one is set in the near future.

This is the story of a young widow with few prospects trying to raise a small boy after her husband is killed. Thing is, the husband is still around and occasionally occupies the bodies of other people just to talk with her. And then it starts to get complicated...
