Minami, a mother, is troubled by her inability to connect with her 14-year-old junior high school student, Towa. When Minami learns that the cause of her child's worries is that he is transgender, a gender identity that differs from the sex assigned at birth, what will she do? What if her child comes out to her, or if she finds out that a friend or relative is LGBT? It is said that 7.6% of Japan's total population (1 in 13 people, according to a Dentsu Diversity Lab survey) identifies as LGBT. Sexual minorities are as familiar to us as left-handed people, but what problems do they face? (Source: Akita Shoten, translated)
