The author was sexually abused by her step father when she was in 4th grade of elementary school. Growing up being abused and having a neglectful mother, she got despair and had suicidal thoughts. Her motivation to continue drawing manga is to convert "sadness," "emptiness," "loneliness" and "feelings of dying" into "anger" as a way to escape from hardships. She got married and had a family, but was undecided to give birth. She was unconscious and feared that she would become a mother like her mother. The experience of being abused as a child and the anxieties and worries about becoming a mother are spelled out.
