A BL anthology by seven up-and-coming authors. It consists of seven individual short stories, each themed and named after a line in the poem "A Kiss" by the 19th century writer Franz Grillparzer.
Every chapter is a self-contained story observing one type of dinosaur per episode. The topic is not limited to "dinosaurs" in the narrow sense, but paleontology in general. Despite the report being explained from a third-person perspective, the "human" observer is not depicted at all. Because of the realistic depiction of the featured creatures the work has been repritned many times by different publishers including Shueisha (1989), Jive (2005) and Fukkan (2018) among others, with some of these being presented in full color. In an 1998 interview published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, Akira Toriyama (Dr. Slump, Dragon Ball) was asked, "What is your favorite Jump manga?", where he reccomended "Kyoryu Daikiko", stating that he learned a lot and that it was the only manga he read every week.
