Led by Fubuki Hajime, President Hitsugi's younger cousin, the Kurogumi declare their intent to seize control of Tenchi Academy. Hitsugi welcomes the challenge, splitting the sword-bearing student body into the Heaven and Earth Dorms, or the Tenchi and Kurogumi camps respectively, to fight for the future of the school. Seiichi Hayashi (b. 1945) was a leading figure in Tokyo's hotbed of avant-garde artistic production in the 1960s and '70s. He is best known for his lyrical and experimental manga for Garo, the famous alternative comics magazine.
