From [Brolen](https://www.mangaupdates.com/groups.html?id=2279): Kuro & Marco is the first non-guro work from noteworthy guro mangaka Horihone Saizou. The titular story has four chapters. It’s an eccentric one about space kids who live in some kind of bizarre alternate universe solar system, where comets are giant dogs, robot people live in a certain part of the the asteroid belt, animal people live on other planets, and the earth is still ruled by dinosaurs. The other stories in the book are various thematically unrelated shorts, but it’s worth noting that he still managed to sneak a story in about tearing organs out of live prisoners, even though it lacked explicit depictions of violence (apparently, an actual Japanese practice in the old days).
2000 years ago, Naotsu country. There are two families in power, the Takamahara house and the Yasuna house, who are always fighting. Yasuna house's son Izusami and Takamahara house's daughter Kayana fall in forbidden love. In the final battle of the war, the white-winged Kayana confronted the black-winged Izusami, and Izusami was killed. Thus the war ended, and Kayana took the throne. But, her pure white wings turned jet black... 2000 years later, in Takamahara country, where such a myth remains, an accident occurs involving a girl named Aki...
There exists a horrific newspaper called the Fear Newspaper that foretells of people’s extreme misfortunes. Kagata Mei, male high school student, has been cursed with this evil spirit and has to fight against it on a daily basis. He is forced by the Fear Newspaper to stop the events on the paper from occurring or face the consequences of his life being shortened by 100 days for every article he is unable to prevent. What makes this horrific situation even worse is that no one else but Mei can see the cursed newspaper and so he is left to undertake this task alone.
