While there he finds a golden fish who, in exchange for not killing it, offers him a golden scale which will grant any wish. Choosing delicious bread as his prize, the boy returns home successful. Kenichi, a 20-year-old man, took an entrance exam into college, but fails it for the third straight year. That day, he came across a traffic accident where it appeared that a giant robot went crazy and disrupted the flow of traffic. He meets a person by the name of Mitchy who is trying to save the remaining survivors. Who is this Mitchy person and what does this "Red Party" fraction have to do with the giant robot?
One day, a mysterious boy visits a boy who does not do well in anything he does... This is a short story in the style of a folk tale set in a rural junior high school.
Yusaku, the son of the village police station, meets a young girl named Neri on the beach and becomes friends with her. However, she has a terrible secret. Kamiemon, whose street name is Kamiemon, is a rough and tumble samurai whom no one calls by his real name. He is ordered by the governor of Izumi to kill all the foxes, but begins to live with a female fox disguised as his beloved wife Okuzu. This is Tezuka's version of the "Kuzunoha" legend concerning the birth of the great scholar Abe no Seimei.
Toshio Yamagata, a young elementary school student, sheds tears every time he listens to the record "The Swan of Tuonela". When he listens to this record, a vivid image of a landscape with a large tree and a white wall appears in his mind, and he believes that this place is his hometown. Toshio's older brother investigates this mysterious phenomenon and discovers that the landscape is from the village of Lien Tao in Vietnam. Furthermore, it becomes clear that there are four other children from different countries who have had similar experiences. To unravel this mystery, these five children are gathered in Vietnam, leading to the revelation of a shocking truth.
"Tuberculosis" depicts the adventures of Kenichi and his uncle inside a boy's body. After being injected with a drug called ZX that was discovered by Kenichi's uncle, Kenichi and his uncle have shrunk and become very small. When they enter the body of a boy and reach his lung, they find that tubercle bacilli (bacteria) are opening a big hole in the boy's lung. Tubercle bacilli send Mode (a tubercle bacillus), a daughter of Dr. Iyoa (also a tubercle bacillus), to Kenichi and his uncle to learn the human language. The two make friends with Mode, but a war breaks out between the tubercle bacilli and the commandos in the boy's brain, and the two become involved in the war. (Source: Tezuka Osamu Official)
