In 1914, the Taisho Exposition was held in Tokyo. One day, the townscape within a radius of two kilometres, including the exposition grounds, was swept away by a typhoon into another dimension. Eighty-five years later, its inhabitants lived in this isolated, otherworldly town. Named Fukujin-chō, it had developed uniquely. Mysterious phenomena occurred here: people arriving from the outside world, known as “visitors”; a daily “reset” where memories vanished at the same hour. Shadowy craftsmen—memory dealers, recollection merchants, dream weavers—operated in the shadows. And today, yet another man from the outside world found himself lost within...
A collection of short stories of the early Kamui with a novel sense, composition, and sense that never fades. "Drop" consists of four short stories, each of which has an independent story and world view. "VENISE 2001", it is probably the effect of global warming.
