The Akei sisters are a happy go lucky sort of family and their lives are always filled with fun. The eldest, Hotaru, is a college student who is ditsy and is always in her own little world. The middle child, Hikari, is in junior high and her high energy keeps the family together. The youngest, Akari, is only in elementary school but she is the most mature one and is the voice of reason. The Akei family moves into a large condo complex where we see their simple and comedic lives.

Heath Swanson, an 18-year-old high school dropout, runs away from his home in San Diego, California, to make a fresh start in New York City. Along his travels he meets Eve, another troubled teen who latches onto him. Although annoyed by his presence and idealistic dreams of life in California at first, the two form an inseparable bond. Living among artists in SoHo, the two help and support each other as they try to make a living in the city.

Odagiri Suzuko, 20 years old, been living alone in an apartment, but her older sister often used her room to party with her friends. Feed up with her sister attitude, she decided to move into another place. She ended up renting a room in an old couple's house. With the help of the"fierce" old woman, she tried to fix her habit of yielding to her sister request. One day, the old woman's grandson started to live with them. He hated Suzuko, but he often get possessed by two ghost who seems to love her. So he often ended up waking from possession in awkward position with her.
