O-Fuku, a maidservant who is greedy and has nothing else to offer, is appointed as Odai-sama's (Atsuhime) ``poison-monitor''. For Fuku, whose appetite for food outweighs his fear of poison, he is happy with his vocation, but at the same time, troubles unique to Ooku that he could never have imagined arise.
