In the Taisho era ,Shinjiro Katsuragi an aspiring novelist, moved to Tokyo and lives in a mysterious building called "Kurohige Hut", a house where all its inhabitants are yokai,The hut's caretaker Hiro is actually a Tanuki. Accompanied by a small youkai Chima,who travelled with him to tokyo , Shinjiro's daily life with the youkai begins.
