This is the third installment in the series following "Showa Jukyouden" by Baron Yoshimoto, the author of the well-known "Jukyouden" series. The protagonist is Yanagi Kanichi, the third generation of the Yanagi family, and the son of Yanagi Kantaro (who, needless to say, is the protagonist of "Showa Jukyouden"). This first volume focuses on the young Kanichi, living cheerfully, brightly, and resilient through the tumultuous and chaotic postwar era. The "burnt-out black market" era immediately after the war is a story set a long time ago, but Baron's masterful storytelling delivers this thrilling work with accurate historical research and a brilliant story development.
