Kappa Shounen Benisuke: Showa Youkai Koi Monogatari

"What's it like to be really in love…?" Benisuke, a kappa boy who is in the throes of puberty and longs for love, is a good-natured boy. He mediates on the the possibility of love for a shy childhood friend, saves a drowning serpent in a river, kisses another kappa to break a curse that had turned him into a frog, and so on. In the process of helping various people (and youkai), he himself becomes involved in a colorful love affair. A youkai love story unfolds in a country town set in the Showa era.
