Set between the events of Battle Tendency and Stardust Crusaders in 1973 to 1986, a research group from the Speedwagon Foundation is sent to Antigua, Guatemala under Lisa Lisa's orders to investigate the identity of a serial killer with an unknown power. Their investigation leads them to Fernando Alhorn, a gang leader who has been using the Arrow to amass his own private army.

In April 1999, Jotaro Kujo travels to a town in Japan called Morioh to find a young man named Josuke Higashikata, the secret love child of his grandfather, Joseph Joestar. Set between the events of *Stardust Crusaders* and *Diamond is Unbreakable*, ten years after DIO's demise, the story follows Hol Horse, who has since returned to his job as a mercenary. After accepting a job from the mother of Pet Shop's owner - tracking down a parrot who was raised alongside the falcon - and teaming up with a reluctant Boingo for one more gig, he arrives in Morioh, where he is faced not only with Josuke, who at this point is still learning the ins and outs of his Stand, but Kakyoin's mourning cousin, Ryoko. Haunted by visions of DIO's overwhelming presence and pursued by a mysterious foe, the four have to join forces to get to the bottom of this mystery, its ties to The World's user deeper than any of them thought they could be.

It tells two original storylines set in Stardust Crusaders. The story in this book recounts events that are completely unknown in the manga that take place in the course of the adventures of Jotaro Kujo and his comrades. Their march to the lair of DIO is interrupted by three powerful Stand users. The first chapter is titled "One-Way Trip from the Desert to Hell City" (砂漠発地獄ヘルシティ行 Sabaku-hatsu Herushiti-gyō) and the second is titled "The Gravestone of Red-Hot Sand" (熱き砂の墓標 Atsuki Suna no Bohyō). Written and presented as the lost transcript of Dio's Diary, featured in Stone Ocean. In the book, he reflects upon his battles throughout the original series, describes his ideals and plans for "obtaining heaven" and talks about the concept of death, as well as his unfortunate mother.
