Gakusha to Kariudo

Long ago, the gods, having triumphed over the demons, entrusted the earth to humankind. Meanwhile, the defeated demons unleashed magical beasts upon the earth in an attempt to reclaim the “Land of Demons.” The “Land of Demons”—known to the people as Teikokushi (Imperial Territory) Lutrant—was suddenly invaded by a gigantic magical beast known as the Chigei or Bahmat. Having suffered immense damage from a catastrophe that occurred over a decade ago, humanity spent its days fighting against the threat of these magical beasts—. As the title suggests, the protagonists of this story are a duo consisting of a scholar and a hunter. Lizell, the scholar, studies the ecology of the monsters to determine how best to deal with the threat they pose. On the other hand, Vizal, the hunter, has only one goal: to eliminate the monsters that stand before him.
