The Wicked King

Dark clouds hang heavy over the palace as Queens perish like short-lived mayflies...

Having lost three wives on their very first wedding nights, King Lee Chan’s heart is scorched with grief. But when he crosses paths with a woman who shines with a radiant light, he is overwhelmed by a sensation he has never felt before.

'I want her. I want to hold her. Truly. This must be what it feels like to fall in love at first sight.'

It is the first time his heart has ever fluttered this way. However, the shadow of the wedding night looms. The suffocating fear that this Queen might also meet a tragic end grips his soul.

As the entire palace holds its collective breath, will this wedding night finally be different?
