In the near future, the full-dive VR game "Visions" is popular in Japan. However, the game has a flaw, and players who exploit it by staying logged in for extended periods are dying. An attempt is made to log all players out to stop the game, but some players rebel. In order to bring the players who have barricaded themselves in the game back to reality, the protagonist, Kokoro Hato, who works in the community welfare department's hikikomori (social withdrawal) countermeasures office, travels to the world of "Visions" and makes contact with the players...?
