It's been 25 years since Earth was invaded by beings from another realm. Now, everyone's life is shaped by a single measure of strength—the World Ranking. From the countryside of Gunma comes Kinoko Kino, a high school girl with zero communication skills, trembling her way through city life with just one dream: to make a friend. Little does she know... she's actually the World Ranking's #1: UNKNOWN!
