Kumuchi, the head of the Great Library of the Temple of the Gods, brings home a child named Yuli from a slave market. Instead of working for the temple, Yuli is assigned a mission: to accompany the temple to a neighboring country to find and bring back the successor to the temple's leader, the "Sky Master." Kumuchi and Yuli leave the Temple of the Gods and embark on a long journey east. Along the way, they meet many different people and travel through many countries.
