Junko Honma: Born in Akita prefecture, lives in Niigata prefecture. She is the mother of two girls. She left her design office in 2016 and she became freelance. She updated her postcard illustration "Ume-san and Koume-san" based on her childhood memories on Instagram and gained her popularity. She published her first book "Ume-san and Koume-san, her best friend is grandma" in April 2019, and the second book in the series "Ume-san and Koume-san with her grandma" in May of the following year.
